Director’s Message
The Las Vegas Day School was founded by Jack and Helen Daseler in 1961 and it was the first non-sectarian, non-denominational private school established in the state of Nevada. The school is licensed by the Nevada State Department of Education and accredited by the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools.
Our philosophy is to maintain a disciplined and challenging academic environment with emphasis upon the individual student. This is accomplished through self-contained class instruction in Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, the elementary school (Grades 1-5), and a fully departmentalized program in the middle school (Grades 6-8).
The accelerated curriculum is college preparatory in its format. Quality instruction in the basics, as well as in science, humanities, arts, computer and Spanish, and physical education is provided by a certified teaching staff. Our foremost responsibility is to foster the social, emotional, and intellectual growth of each individual student.
